Vintage Planes Crossing Africa

Vintage biplanes from the 1920s and 1930s, taking flight across Africa.  The journey began on November 12th from the Greek Island of Crete and will end mid December in South Africa.

The antique planes will be in teams representing different countries, covering approximately 8,000 miles and flying over a number of nations. One of the stops will be at the Giza Pyramids, the first time in several decades that a group of planes are being allowed to land.   

Also joining the trip on part of the journey will be the plane flown by Robert Redford, in the movie " Out of Africa ." 

Flying on vintage aircraft and tackling a new route will not only be a challenge but an adventure.
