Millions in Africa live without electricity and rely heavily on using bio and fossil fuels. A new partnership between a payments systems provider and a solar company is partnering together to tackle this problem.
Mastercard and M-Kopa are bringing solar, a clean form of energy to homes and businesses at affordable rates. Through a mobile app, people can make payments called 'pay-as-you-go'. The partnership will be able to reach many and provide access to those in need of the most basic services.
