The pull and the push to go to Africa is changing and in a recent edition of the Condé Nast magazine, a number of destinations in Africa were featured. The coverage on a select number of countries shows the diversity in nature, history, culture and mystery. The palpable excitement that the continent is becoming more open and the immersive experiences felt by the contributors, adds to continent as a more viable destination.

Each destination unique with its own identity offers different experiences for the traveler. For some the draw of Africa is in the natural state of the landscapes and wildlife, maintaining these areas through conservation and preservation management helps to sustain these habitats and also can benefit the communities.The magazine takes a look at individuals who are very passionate about protecting such environments;  having set up lodging and tour companies while also helping the local population to be part of the process.
